Using weak passwords is a common reason why WordPress sites get hacked. Let’s explore some plugins that can help with this issue. Here are a couple of plugins that I personally use on my websites:
Force Strong Passwords
When changing passwords on WordPress, users are shown a password strength indicator powered by JavaScript. However, there is no mechanism in place to prevent users from setting weak passwords.
One of the most vulnerable points in a WordPress setup is users selecting very weak passwords. This plugin replicates the password strength check in PHP and mandates that users with administrative privileges set a strong password.

Simple User Password Generator
For users with user management capabilities (admin users), this plugin adds a button on the user creation and editing screens to generate a secure password.
It also provides an option to prompt users to change their password when they are logged into the dashboard and enables sending the newly generated password to existing users.
The plugin does not require any additional setup or configuration. Just install and start using it!
